3 Recipes of Warming Tea

Warming tea can be herbal, red, citrus, with spices, with ginger or autumn berries. Those who want to increase the degree of the drink can add a teaspoon of rum, cognac or balsam.
There are many variants of warming tea.We offer three excellent recipes for you!

Hibiscus tea

Karkade is sweet-sour tea drink of bright red or burgundy color, which is prepared from dried flowers of the Sudanese rose (scientific name of the plant-Hibiscus sabdariffa). Hot karkade raises pressure, and cold – reduces.

You will need:

  • 1.5 liters of water
  • about 8-10 teaspoons of hibiscus
  • sugar to taste
  • 3-4 pcs. carnations
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • vanilla to taste
  • pinch of ground nutmeg
  • slices of apples, orange, and lemon

Pour the water into a saucepan, sprinkle the hibiscus, add all the spices and sugar. Cook for 5-10 minutes. Then strain into a large kettle, lay out slices of fruit to taste and serve.

Ginger tea with apple and lime

The best remedy for the winter cold. Warms and energizes.

You will need:

  • 0.5 liters of water
  • 3-4 cm of ginger root (peel and finely chop)
  • cardamom, a pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of green tea
  • 3 teaspoons of flower honey
  • carnation
  • 1/2 of lemon
  • of green apple and lime slices

Pour the water into the saucepan, add ginger and all the spices. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Then put the honey and lemon (squeeze the juice first, and then throw the remaining lemon into the pan). Cook for another 5 minutes. Pour the green tea in the kettle, and strain it into a hot broth. You can put slices of green apple, lemon or lime when serving.

Grog with black tea

You will need:

  • 600 ml of brewed black tea
  • 160 ml of rum or cognac
  • lemon juice
  • 50 g of sugar (or honey)
  • orange slices

Dissolve sugar in a hot, but not boiling tea, pour in lemon juice, rum or cognac. Add orange slices, let it brew for 10 minutes and serve.
